Santiago is an awesome city. The people are wonderful and there are so many great restaurants. The metro system is the best in South America - clean efficient and safe. I would recommend la Biferia for excellent wine and steak, and la giratorio for something a little bit gimmicky but also awesome.

Interesting city with easy access metro system.
Interesting city with easy access metro system. Highlights included San Cristobal Hill for the view and the main square. Due to the issues with pickpockets and street crime, it does require being hypervigilant with your valuables. We were touring the area around the Central Market when a local man approached us (2 women) and warned us that we were not safe in that area and needed to leave. Uber was the best way to get around and very cheap.

I had my necklace grabbed off my neck in the middle of the day near the main square. Very high crime rate. I did not feel safe walking around even during the day and came home straight after dinner each night. We liked Lastarria district at night for dinner. Sommelier Hotel rooftop bar was great although very heavy smokers everywhere.

I was very overwhelmed (in a good way) by the vibrancy of the city. It was very clean, safe, with nice people and great weather. I had no idea what to expect but I am already thinking about when I can return!

Great city to visit surrounded by magnificent mountains.
Great city to visit surrounded by magnificent mountains. The funicular, garden on top of San Cristobal Hill, teleferico, various shopping areas can be easily accessed with hop on/hop off bus.
Did not like Santiago Airport. Not because it is big, but because comfort of passengers was not considered as its first priority when designed.

I remember when I first visited 9 years ago it seemed like a much more new, vibrant city. Might have been my younger self rather than the city but the city felt very old (not in the cool, good way) when we went this time. The pre-Colombian museum is a must visit, but other than that I wouldn’t really go back. The food scene was okay too, aside from some great spots. Other international cities I’ve been to have left me overwhelmed with options, this city did not. Also, we really wanted to take a wine tour but the prices were insanely expensive to go just an hour outside the city and operators I contacted were not responsive.
It is an awesome apartment right in the downtown of Santiago, Chile. It is in about an hour ride from the airport and literally 6 blocks away from the Chilean president residence La Moneda palace. 5-mins walk to either of 2 grocery supermarkets. 7 mins walk to the Military museum. A 10-min walk to the subway/main street. And the best part is the pool on the roof (22 floor) 10am-8pm.
The appt. itself is clean, neat, and modern. A good city view from the balcony with Andes mountains in the far.
Highly recommend.
The hotel is located in a nice neighborhood (Providencia), sufficiently close to the metro station and to a mall (Costanera center), where you have plenty of food options as well as supermarkets and many stores.
The staff is great and friendly. We appreciated the kindness of Cecilia, one of the hotel receptionists.
The breakfast was verry good and included "English breakfast" hot food.
My best advice is avoid hotels in Santiago City center: it is unsafe, it is not pretty after dark and usually more expensive.
Spacious , super clean room with large windows giving lots of light. Very comfortable bed.
Nice welcome from efficient reception staff.
Water dispenser was useful and 2 bottles of water on arrival. Breakfast had a range of food and fruit. Room cleaned daily.
The hotel got us a taxi that was far cheaper than on line prices and on time.
Some good restaurants nearby and clean area of Santiago.
Everything was great and I will book it again..
The staff at the front desk were so kind and helpful! They also spoke English so that was great.
The room was big with a kitchenette, a balcony and AC. Best of all the bed was big and very comfortable!
Location was good as it is very close to the city center and walking distance to most sites. Good food and bars around as well but not directly next to the hotel so it is quiet at night.
I would definitely stay here again!
We generally have low expectations when it comes to airport (or near airport) hotels but were seriously impressed by this one! The room was massive, super comfortable, black out curtains, free water and capsule coffee machine in the room. They also have a free shuttle to the airport and the food in the restaurant is reasonably priced and tasty. The staff were great as well.
We had such an amazing time at this hotel - wow! We hoped to stay here again when we passed through Santiago but it was fully booked. Which makes sense because it was seriously the best hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful and the restaurant has 24-hour service. So we ordered room service and the Barros Luco was the best sandwich I've ever had in my entire life.
Truly the best hotel service I have ever received. There is a rotating staff and you'll quickly meet them all if you're in in the morning and at night. Wonderful breakfast and such personal touches too. If I return to Santiago this Will be my destination!
The whole stay was perfect.
Great hotel and breakfast was really good.
Staff are very nice and do anything to help.
Located in one of the best areas in Santiago, great value for money and bonus the shower is fab too! Thank you for a great stay.
Rooftop bar and pool area is superb. Magnificent views and a lovely space to hang out in. Breakfast was also a cut above average in Chile. Solace was much cheaper than other Santiago hotels and we got much more for our money - really great value.
We stayed on a high floor with beautiful views of the city. The bed was comfortable and internet speed good. It was a short distance walk from the subway. The neighborhood felt very safe. The hotel can arrange transportation to the airport.
Best Hotel in Town. I stayed at some 5 Star hotels in Santiago and this was way ahead of the others. Excellent service, good roomservice, nice restaurant. Well organised staff, clean and comfy room. All in all worth the money
My only regret was changing hotels. Great location. close enough to walk to the night life and the city center. pool was small and cold, but it was also really hot outside. great views, staff was nice.
Excellent location for a one night stay in between flights. Pick-up and drop-off worked really well for me. This is my go to hotel each time I need to spend one night close to the Santiago airport.
One night stop close to airport, a bit of a mixed experience. The hotel was good with the free transfer from the airport, check in was fast and pool area nice to stay. Room was clean and nice beds
Excellent hotel in a perfect location for an overnight stay at Santiago Airport. Friendly staff were very helpful and overall we would return without a second thought!
We loved the interior design of this boutique hotel. The welcome drink and breakfasts were excellent. Rooms comfortable, wifi good, but best of all was the staff!
